She could just not find the perfect place to have her puppies, and they where coming soon, she could already fell it. ''Crystal please, keep looking!'', the red female sighed, she would never find a good spot, everything was just grass, and brush, nothing really large or protected enough. ''Kayla, wait, i think I know where we can go'', Crystal pointed up to a small rounded area under the tree, but hiding three quarters of the way by rock.
''That's perfect''. It looked almost like a cave, but it had no roof, Kayla loved it. She was getting nervous though, where was her sister, she did not only want her there but needed her there, she was the healer of the pack. The mixed breed fae looked about, picking up fluffy grass, bird feathers and sticks to make a small bed for her young puppies.
''Crystal? Where is Carmella? maybe we hid to well, but she could follow my scent...'', Kayla shut her moth with a snap, she knew she needed to keep calm and collected for this, she did not want any complication for her birth. Everyone had to be born healthy. Kayla knew there was a chance some of her puppies could have a few mental issues to to her depression and their fathers issues. Kayla finally finished her bed and laid in it, waiting for her sister.

The golden colored female was in a hurry to find her sister, she very well knew that the puppies were due soon and her sister needed her, she was the pack's healer after all, and they were siblings. There was a certain amount of commitment needed there. Like a sort of alliance for the siblings. Carmella held borage leaves in a bit of a package, as well as thyme. As a healer for the Mirembe pack this was the first time that she had been needed to deliver puppies, although she did know what she was doing, there was still a certain amount of nervousness that accompanied her at the moment. This was her sister, underneath it all, and she wasn't going to let her sister down. Not under these conditions, that would be letting the coming puppies down as well. She was confident that everything would go fine in her care, so she carried on her way, following Kayla's scent.
Carmella practically ran after her sister's trail, she needed to find her, and she did, only a few moments later, allowing herself a brief sigh of relief, before turning and nodding to Grim, who had fluttered off of her back and now stood a few feet away. She caught the last of Kayla's worries within her ears and carefully placed her bundle of herbs down and turning to face her sister, trying to appear calm, as well as comforting, for her sister's sake.
"Grim and I are here, Kayla. Every thing's fine." Carmella murmured softly, her brown eyes comfortingly focused on her sister. She could understand her jitters, of course, it seemed plausible, Carmella would be nervous, too, if she was going to have puppies. At the moment, though, she was both excited and nervous. Nervous because this was still her first time delivering puppies, and excited because she was going to be an aunt, and her sister's puppies were still her kin.
"Kayla, you'll want to lay down." Grim tweeted softly to the female as he began pulling open Carmella's bundle of herbs. His tweet was kind, but he was still serious, she would need to lay down. Carmella nodded to the multicolored bird before turning back to her sister with another comforting smile, she didn't want her sister to be frightened, not about the puppies, not about the male, they could dwell on that later, sadly, there was still plenty of time to dwell on everything that she most likely had no desire to dwell on.
"You can eat these herbs, too, Kayla, they'll help a bit. To calm you and such." Carmella added, giving another brisk nod as Grim dragged the herbs over to her sister. This was going to go smoothly, and she was going to make her sister as comfortable as possible. But, at the moment, this was work, even if she put all that much more effort into it because Kayla was her sister, she still had a duty to do for her, both as her sister, and as the healer of the pack. She had a lot of things weighing heavily on her mind at this moment in time, even if she didn't show it directly to her sister. It was the healer's job to make their patient comfortable, and that was what Carmella was going to do for her sister.

Kayla [style=background: url(http://i41.tinypic.com/3537dpf.png) top left no-repeat; border-radius: 10px;] [style=background-color: #c9dfc4; opacity: .5; color: black; padding: 5px 10px; text-align: justify; border-radius: 10px; font: 12px Calibri; margin: 270px 10px 10px;] The female sat waiting for her sister, pains starting to build on her lower back. She had no idea if it was suppose to hurt his much, not only that Kayla knew she had to come up with names for each puppy, and Kayla was not that creative. She has been told she is having at least four puppies by the size of her stomach, which did scare her bit, four was a lot of mouths to feed and brains to teach.
Hearing foot steps Kayla was glad her sister had finally arrived, ''Hi Carm and Grim. Thanks for finding me so quickly.'' The red female noticed her sisters carried some bundles, which she assumed contained herbs. Kayla was glad for them, she felt pain and anxiety, hopefully they would help her. ''Thanks'', she slowly opened the first bundle and started to chew, some of the leaves tasted bitter. It wast too horrible, and it already made her fell better.
''More? Well thanks Grim'', Kayla laid down this time like her sister asked and finished all the herbs she was giving, even though some tasted horrible. The pain eased, but was just enough so she would be able to know when to push. Crystal stayed hidden far from Kayla, she was nervous and scared, nothing would prepare the mouse for this. Kayla could see her soul was nervous as well, but she could not do much but give her a calm look.
The pressure in Kayla's back made her squint, she felt weird and wanted to push but had no idea if it truly was time. ''Im.. go-onna push Carm'', Crystal closed her eyes while her dog started to push. Kayla tried hard, her mouth shut, trying to hold back grunts of pain and force. As she slowly pushed and felt a relief, the red female turned and looked, it seemed to be a wet, bloody puppy. ''Oh!'', Kayla turned and started licking the puppy, but of course the pain came again, she had more to do. ''Is it a male or female, Carm?'', Kayla noticed the small puppy looked a lot like her, even the pelt was very similar.

Carmella nodded to her sister when she said that she was going to start pushing. The female waited patiently, it was a waiting game, at least, partially. Carmella didn't like seeing her younger sister in all of this pain, even if it was inevitable, she still didn't like it. The female's face was, for the most part, blank as she waited for the first puppy patiently. She took note that Crystal, her sister's soul was nervous, and she nodded to Grim, who moved to comfort the mouse. It did no good to have everyone around here nervous, though even Carmella harbored just a touch of nervousness, even though she didn't show it openly to Kayla, it didn't mean it pulled at her head. The healer just had to be responsible and keep her patient calm and focused.
Carmella smiled slightly as the first puppy emerged and Kayla cleaned the puppy, who looked like her mother. Carmella heard Kayla ask whether it was male or female and checked gently, standing quickly to face Kayla as she had determined it, "It's a girl." Carmella said, giving a smile to her sister and nudging the puppy to her sister's stomach.
They still had a long way's to go, with at the very least for more puppies to come, maybe less, maybe more, the healer wasn't all that sure. Carmella took a step back to wait for the next puppy. She waited alongside her sister. The female was excited, and interested, the first puppy had appeared to look quite like Kayla, so she could only wonder what the other puppies would look like, too.
Of course, Carmella knew that the puppy's appearances could change as they grew older, she only hoped they wouldn't end up like their father in anyway. Of course, they would have a fantastic team of dogs raising them, and teaching them right from wrong, none of them would let the puppies go wrong and become like their father. She was sure Kayla would teach them that their father's ways were wrong, and explain everything to them. But, right now, they just had to wait for the puppies to be born in the first place.

Kayla [style=background: url(http://i41.tinypic.com/3537dpf.png) top left no-repeat; border-radius: 10px;] [style=background-color: #c9dfc4; opacity: .5; color: black; padding: 5px 10px; text-align: justify; border-radius: 10px; font: 12px Calibri; margin: 270px 10px 10px;] Kayla could feel Crystals nervous energy, and really it did not help her at this moment. She was glad when Grim joined the mouse, hopefully it would calm her down. Kayla waited as her sister examined the small red puppy, she hopped all her young ones would be healthy and strong, so when she heard the news that it was a girl Kayla smiled. ''Why don't you name her Carm? Im in too much pain to think of one, and it would be great if you did'', She waited to hear what her sister would have to say, Kayla knew her sister would come up with a beautiful girls name.
Soon she was taken back to her delivery, she felt the need to push again, her eyes closed and she concentrated. She felt one puppy come but it seemed the next one was coming right after, she only had enough time to look at a little black and tan puppy before she had to turn her attention to the next. This puppy took a little longer, Kayla was getting tired, hot and thirsty, she wondered when all of this would end. Hopefully soon, she truly hoped this was the hard part of motherhood.
The next puppy finally came, also in a small pouch and dirty of blood, this one seemed to be fully black. Kayla did not know why she wanted female puppies so bad, but she just did not wnat her young to end up like their father, and the easiest way to ensure that would be to have female. She knew it would be a long shot, but at least Crystal seemed to calm down and become curious of the little newborns. ''What are the genders for these two?'', Kayla sighed, it seemed she had a little break to calm down and relax, but she knew soon enough the pain would come back, and the memories of the male would return.
