The young Shepherd padded quietly around the largest rock, the breeze taking her breath away from her. It was the most gorgeous view from here, she could see her entire territory and what everyone was doing. It was such a wonderful sight, Sky had to admit. Her companion, Red, was sitting calmly on a rock by her paw, happy as could be. Skylar smiled. She could go on like this for a while without anyone being up here to amuse her. She lifted her paw up to step on a final boulder, one she made sure was secure enough for her weight. Being a large side of her breed, Sky weighed much more than your usual German shepherd.
At the weight of 110 lbs, you should be careful when you mess around with them. The rock, being the one closest to the edge, seemed to be sturdy enough for her to climb. She let out a breath, her large paw placed gently down on the rock, and then her entire body seemed to relax on it. Laying down, the tired fae took one last look over her territory, and laid her head down on her paws to rest.

The younger male's great was even as he steadily climbed the silver cliffs. His gate was steady, as he made sure not to disturb the chipmunk that sat, clutching onto his fur as Geranimo leapt and trotted up the steep incline. He was going to get this accomplished, there was absolutely no way that he was going to allow one single little mountain defeat him. It was just a over grown hill, and he was the prodcut of many determined, stubborn, capable breeds all put together. He was not going to allow this to happen. He couldn't let this happen. It would be like going home after going out hunting without bringing back any meat. Of course, Geranimo wasn't hunting, he was climbing, and he really wasn't going to end up bringing something back down from the top of these cliffs, at least, nothing of importance, anyway. Maybe just a little more confidence.
"So, are you comfortable back there?" Geranimo ask, a slightly sarcastic tone flitting into his voice. "As comfortable as a chipmunk can be while his escort is lurching up a mountain." Brook grumbled good naturedly. She didn't actually mean anything that she was saying, they just ended up joking around, it was typically of the pair, a few childish jokes here, a few more there. They were all over the place, almost all of the time. At the moment, though, Geranimo couldn't afford to be all over the place at the moment, though, unless he wanted to end up falling and ending up with something broken.
"You do realize, Brook, that I could leave you right here." The male replied evenly, keeping his strides up to the top of the cliffs even. He wasn't stopping yet, he had to be back down by dark, after all. And he could not Be late. He still had a whole lot of time left, though. So he could enjoy himself when he managed to actually reach the top of these pesky cliffs.
"Yes, but dear Geranimo, you would never dream of doing that." Brook replied, grinning into the mix's fur. Geranimo dreamed of doing that, of course, but it was something that he dreaded and was horrified of, so it was more of a nightmare than an actual good dream. "I contemplate it, but you're worth keeping around, Brook." Geranimo replied, casting a grin over his shoulder as he finally managed to reach the top of the cliffs. It was a relief to have finally made it this far. He was proud of himself, and showed it, by wagging his rather fluffy white tail and turning his face to the sky to flash a wild grin at this accomplishment.
It only took a few moments for Geranimo was not alone, at least, that fact did not include Brook, who was still nestled on Geranimo's back. He realized, with a start that it was actually the alpha of the pack. He grinned, wagging his tail once again, giving a more civilized version of himself, over the one that had flashed through mere moments ago, "Hello, there, alpha, I believe it is!" Geranimo called to the female who was looking out at the view, giving another grin, even though she couldn't see it.
Geranimo glance out over the cliff to take in the view himself. It was absolutely beautiful. He couldn't even begin to believe how fantastic it was. Fabulous, that it was, absolutely fabulous. He couldn't even believe it, "So how are you, my lady?" Geranimo questioned a few moments later, hoping that he had her attention now. He didn't want to frighten her off of the cliff. That would be an absolutely terrible turn of events. He tilted his head to look at the alphaess.
"I'm not quite sure if you've met us yet, but I'm Geranimo, and this, my fuzzy chipmunk, old buddy old pal is Pembrook, or just Brook, in fact." Geranimo added with a broad grin, his tone cheerful. Ok, so maybe he was better at making civilized conversation when there weren't all of the dogs from the pack around that he had to keep on trying to keep everyone else around him happy. That was, and always had been a hassle to Geranimo. He didn't enjoy having to juggle to keep everyone around him happy, even though he did try his best to keep all of that up. Sometimes, even to him, things just proved to be absolutely impossible, and himself, even as a mix of the most capable breeds of dogs, could not always handle all of those impossible things that tended to end up popping up and surprising him.
Geranimo shifted his posture to make himself more comfortable as he contemplated his thoughts, making sure that he wouldn't end up tossing Brook off of his back. He tried to embrace, and face the impossible, but his capabilities were stretched to the limit, espeically with racing around and having his own fun, and gathering information, of course. Somethings just had to come first.

Hearing another calm voice behind her, Skylar quickly jumped to alert, almost falling to her death off the cliff. The dog behind was slightly smaller than her, so in other words Sky relaxed for a bit. He seemed extremely friendly, grinning wildly from ear to ear. He was adorable as far as Sky was concerned, but what was he here for? Certainly for business as far as he was concerned. Hopefully he would stick around for Sky to get to now her pack members better. A smile spread across the German shepherd's maw, her tail wagging slightly, Her warm personality lightening up the air, hopefully this would turn out well.
"Hello there, Geranimo, Brook." she nodded her head politely. She chuckled at the male's respect but eager attitude, he seemed pleased to be here. "Yes, the name's Skylar, but please call me Sky.' she replied, raising an eyebrow at the chipmunk he introduced as Brook. Her tail was curled higher each time her muscles relaxed, her tension moving away. Suddenly, her cardinal flew down beside her front paws, landing in a elegant-sort of way.
"oh, sorry. This is Redikai, but call him red." she smiled, watching her cardinal with great interest.

The young male's eyes flickered over the female rapidly. She was slightly larger than him, though not by much. Geranimo's fur made up for a lot of that height. He was a very fluffy dog, after all, and there was no doing away with all of his fur, unless he had to bathe, but when that happened his fur only became plastered to his skin. It was still there. He just looked small until his fur managed to end up drying. And that never ended up happening all that quickly, and it was rather boring, having to wait for himself to dry before he could go and goof around, so he wouldn't end up getting dirt, or, rather mud all through his pretty white fur. That would be absolutely horrifying, and it felt disgusting, too. He would never want to have to deal with that muddy, disgusting mess. It was just plain gross.
Geranimo grinned cheerfully when the female, alphaess, greeted himself as well as Brook, his small, little adviser, and best friend, naturally. Geranimo nodded when the female introduced her as Skylar, or rather Sky. It was a pretty name, sort of like the sky right now that they seemed to be able to reach, to breath the air and to also taste the fluffy white clouds. Almost as fluffy as Geranimo himself. Okay, so, maybe a little bit more fluffy that Geranimo was, but not by much.
"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, my lady Sky." Geranimo murmured, bowing his head slightly to the female before her, a cheerful smile covering his muzzle as he bent to stand once again. She was a pretty girl, absolutely. A lovely German Shepherd mix? Well, he wasn't quite so sure of that type of thing, anyway. He couldn't put a paw on the things like the breed of dog that his fellow dogs were. It was hard to, practically always.
Geranimo nodded with a welcoming smile when Sky spoke once again, introducing her soul, a cardinal, as Redikai, who was also known as Red, apparently. "Hello there!" Brook squeaked cheerfully in the direction of the cardinal, which was hard from her perch cuddled within the comfortable white fur on Geranimo's back. She had to keep herself from falling asleep on his back, it was so nice. The long fur made quite a good blanket.
"Are you well, Sky? I must say, you do appear so, at least, in my eyes." Geranimo asked, his tone cheerful, and another friendly smile flashing across his multicolored face. This female was interesting, he had noticed that quite quickly. For an alpha, she wasn't all that bad. Of course, he didn't have all that experience with alphas, this was the only pack that he had been a member of, of course, Geranimo was still pretty young, too, so that made things quite difficult for him to compare.
"This is an amazing view." Geranimo murmured, his eyes flickering away from the female's form to look out to the sky line. It was an absolutely amazing view from this place, up high in the cliffs. He couldn't even to begin to imagine what it would appear to look like if they were high enough to actually touch the clouds. That would have had to be an absolutely amazing experience, to be up that high and to see that. He wouldn't believe anything of the sort, though, at least, not until he saw it for himself.
The male had only made his way up here for the actual challenge of the climb to reach the top of these magnificent cliffs. But he had actually managed to find so much more than he had actually planned on finding at the time that he had begun his journey to the top of the cliffs only a bit earlier in this day. He had managed to meet the pretty Sky, and to see the beautiful skyline, out in the distance. It was a whole lot more than he had expected when he had set out this morning, hoping to do something that he hadn't actually done in the past.
Now, in this moment, Geranimo was happy that he had decided to challenge himself, content with that decision and the results that it had managed to have in the moments that had passed since he had made the decision permanent. Yes, he was happy, at the moment. Not pressured, just relaxed and happy to talk with Sky until they had to head back down to the cliffs and back to the camp. But he was still here for now, in this very moment, and he was going to enjoy one of the few, precious, happy moments while it lasted, which it hopefully would, at least so he would have long enough to actually enjoy it.

Skylar sighed and looked up at the sky. It was a beautiful day, probably one of the most prettiest days Skylar had seen since she had been on this island. She hoped that the company of Geranimo would cheer her up. He seemed to be extremely friendly, happy go lucky as well. The large German shepherd let out a breath of fresh air, watching as his fluffy fur seemed to be a blanket to his chipmunk companion. Redikai, by her paw, grinned happily in amusement.
"Hello there, I'm Red. he introduced himself properly, twitching his head this way ad that to get a better look at the two before him. Skylar nodded, and watching as the clouds moved ever so-slowly. "Well, it was." she muttered, peering over at the deeper terrain of her territory. There were intruders. Wolves, by the looks of it. Great. Just..great..

Geranimo blinked when Skylar stated that it had been a nice day, he tilted his head in confusion, not sure how it could go from being a nice day so quickly that he wouldn't even know what had gone wrong. He didn't have a clue what had happened in his handsome multicolored head. He wished he knew, but even with his mind spinning as he tried to figure things out didn't work. He had not one hint of an idea that could end up leading to an explanation for himself. He could have said something that she had not quite approved of, that was a lazy guess though, and he doubted it. He hadn't said much that could be considered to be rude. He hadn't said all that much yet, so far, in fact.
The male guided his gaze to where Skylar was looking and took notice of the wolves who now appeared to be trespassing on their pack's territory. That just wasn't nice. "Do you think a patrol will fight them off?" Geranimo asked the female who still stood near him. He didn't like the fact that there were wolves on the pack lands, and he was sure that, being the one of the alphas of the land that the wolves were trespassing on, Skylar would be all the more irritated with their presence on the pack lands. He wouldn't want them there, and he hated it, even now, and they were so very far away, still.
"Do you want to go down and get a patrol so we can make sure that they are chased off?" Geranimo asked, turning his gaze back to the female alpha. He wasn't quite sure what course of action that Skylar would want to take, but that was still her decision, it was, in no manner his. He was only a pack member, and she out ranked him by quite a bit. So, all the male could really do was wait until Skylar told her what she wanted to do about all of those wolves.

Skylar sighed. The guards were already supposed to be out there by now. Who was the pack's guards, anyways? She supposed Dimitri had assigned the ranks since she hadn't, and there were obviously had been a lot of activity around, making Sky uneasy with the intruders. Maybe they just wanted to negotiate? Pftt...probably not. They were wolves, about the size of her. They could easily put a war on her pack and be surprised, they were the masters of this jungle anyways. Ears flattening and tail raising, her fur went up on her back, an irritable look on her face appeared out of her character. this was certainly putting a crick in her day.
"the patrols are either distracted with someone else, or just lazy. And if we howl or try to get across, they will surely hear and smell us, then it will be no surprise attack. " she stated, trying to think of a course of action..that was smart for them to take to chase these wolves out. The canines were not wanted in her pack territory, making Skylar terribly uneasy about the entire thing. "How about if I fly over and count how many we're up against? That way we can figure out better.'" Red suggested kindly, cocking his little red head. [/size][/color][/div] Word Count: 201 Other: exciting. xp [/style][/style][/style]

It was a bit shocking to the younger male to see the wolves out on the horizon, moving into his pack's territory. The male very well knew that wolves usually left the dog packs alone, and very few of them actually even payed attention to them, unless it was to chase them off of their territory if some dog had managed to trespass, and go unnoticed for long enough to even manage to make it all the close to their territory. Geranimo, though, had never really known any wolves to come, out of no where onto any of the territories that the four packs dwelled on.
Geranimo tilted his head at Skylar said that the patrols were busy with something else, or just plan lazy. He would be hoping they were just busy with something else. He wouldn't want to be the dog that had to face the music, or rather the alphas if they hadn't been fulfilling their duty. That would not end up being a very happy conversation, so he would happen to prefer them being preoccupied with other things, so they wouldn't have somehow noticed these trespassing wolves.
The male's eyes flickered to Skylar's soul, Red. He considered the bird's words for a few heartbeats before nodding himself, "That might be a good idea, if you can do it safely." Geranimo replied to him in agreement, very well knowing that it wasn't really his place to make all of these suggestions, but, then again, this was a different situation, too.

Skylar had hoped that the wolves would have realized by now they were in a threatening position and land, which meant war. Usually, the great gray creatures would want nothing more to do with the island dogs and leave them be. But apparently... That was not going to happen here at all. She knew what most of the bloody creatures wanted, and it was usually not good as far as she was concerned. She could smell their horrid scent drifting through her pack territory, which made the German shepherd terribly fierce and mad. She scoffed, her chest beginning to swell and ears firmly pinned to her skull, tail high and body movements slow and tense. This, would probably end up being war.
Sky could only nod at her trusty soul, Red, who immediately took flight over the handful of wolves who were making there way deeper and deeper. You would think the patrols would be on them already, interrogating and intimidating- as most patrols were to do. Narrowing hr dark brown eyes, Skylar watched as her red bird flew over the wolves, Sky could only make out about 4-6 of them; but she knew Red would come back with more, and more descriptive details. Lowering herself to a smaller position, Sky watched them, and then turned to Geranimo, who seemed a bit uneasy. "Nervous? Don't be, it's only a few canines who have no respect." she reassured him. "Sky! Skylar!" a faint voice screeched hurriedly. Sky immediately turned around to see Red flapping towards them with a horrid look on his face. "We are outnumbered! 11 to 2! And Sky, it seems they are following one male inparticular, he seems to be the alpha. All the rest fear him, from what I can see." Red huffed, now out of breath. Great. Just what Sky wanted. She would have Togo down there herself and put her life in danger. Putting the alpha's life in danger? Oooh.. Those idiotic guards, whoever they were.
